Spay & Neuter — It Saves Lives
Every year, millions of animals enter shelters due to uncontrolled breeding. Our spay and neuter program is one of the most powerful tools we have to reduce overpopulation, end unnecessary suffering, and give every pet a fighting chance at a loving home.
Free for Shelter Adoptees
Every animal adopted from Paws & Hearts is spayed or neutered before going home — at no cost to you. It's included as part of our adoption package alongside microchipping and vaccinations.
Low-Cost for Community Pets
Already have a pet at home who needs the procedure? We offer heavily subsidised spay/neuter services to community members. Fees range from $20–$75 based on income — because cost should never be a barrier to responsible pet ownership.
Monthly Clinic Days
Our low-cost clinics run on the first Saturday of every month at our Melbourne shelter. Spots are limited — book your pet's appointment early to secure a place at the next available date.
