Marguerite Vale started Maison Aurelia in 2015 after fourteen years at a large agency on Collins Street, where she had run the eastern suburbs division and watched good listings die on portals she did not believe in.
The office began with one desk and a list of twenty-two streets. It still works the same list. Toorak, South Yarra, Brighton, Hawthorn and Armadale, and within them the handful of blocks where we know every floor plan, every family who sold and every family who bought.
We are three people. We take on six to eight sales a year and we turn down more than we take on. That is not a marketing line, it is the only way we can be at every viewing ourselves.

Director
Joined in 2018 from a commercial valuation practice, where he spent eight years pricing buildings for banks. Runs the due diligence on every sale and the building and pest reports for buyers. Sells Brighton, Hawthorn and Armadale.
Agent
Came across from residential styling in 2021 and now handles the photography, floor plans and copy for every campaign the office runs. Also runs the buyer register, which is the reason most of our sales never appear on a portal.

See what we are holdingWe do not run open inspections, place signage on your lawn, or advertise a price we do not believe. We have turned down eleven sales this year for exactly that reason.
One commission, agreed in writing before the campaign starts, and paid once on settlement. We do not charge for the marketing, the photography or the floor plan.
Your address is not published until you ask us to publish it. Viewings are booked by appointment, and we do not discuss a sale with your neighbours before the contracts are signed.
