The street

Bridle Path, Toorak.

Residential street in Toorak at dusk with warm street lights under mature trees
Bridle Path, looking north towards the gardens.

Bridle Path runs for six blocks between Toorak Road and the Yarra, and it is the quietest street we know in the suburb. The lawns are deep, the trees are old, and the houses sit far enough back that none of them can see into another.

The eastern end opens onto the park and the river path. The western end, where Aurelia House sits, is the part with the deepest planting and the least traffic. Number 14 has been in the same family since 1971.
